Twin Oaks Stables - Boarding, Lessons, Training
About Us

Head trainer Lee Ann Selkowitz began riding on a neighbor's pony at the age of six and moved on to formal lessons a few years later.  Showing came next, and training and teaching naturally followed.  As a junior she rode with James Benedetto, Nancy Fletcher, and Debbie Leutz, competing successfully in the Hunter, Equitation, and Jumper divisions.  Most recently she has trained with Olympic medalists Neal and Elisa Shapiro and focused her efforts on the Jumper division. Lee Ann has over 20 years of riding, showing, training, and teaching experience to pass along.  She believes in a calm and practical approach to both teaching and training.(References available on request.) Member USEF and USHJA.

Farm Manager Eric Selkowitz had no idea what he was getting into when he met his wife-to-be in high school!  He certainly never imagined that she would become his riding instructor.  Fourteen years later he purchased his first horse and immediately began gathering ribbons at the shows.  Since 2008 he has been training with Lee Ann and competing in the Hunter and Equitation divisions, winning championships both locally and on the A-Circuit.  (All while actively serving in the U.S. Army.)  Now back in the civilian world Eric has moved into the Jumpers and awaits the day he gets to show against his wife.

After living through the "snow-pocalypse" of 2010/2011 Lee Ann and Eric set their sights on sunny Florida and purchased their farm a few months later.  Once the extensive renovations and improvements were complete Twin Oaks Stables opened for business in January of 2012.
